its the new year. lets get it started with a small meetup and learn and share some drupal goodness. we'll have a projector, and wifi. bring your laptop and something to share or post a comment about what you'd like to learn. bring a snack or beverage to share, and lets be considerate of our hosts. LA Net is a non-profit that has offered their space for meetups in Long Beach. Seems it should hold 10-15 people in their main conference room, and there's another room or two for breakout sessions. There is no budget, and probably too few chairs, so if you have a comfy beach/camp/folding chair, please bring it.
this will be a good opportunity to ask questions or share in ways that you might not at the larger LA Drupal meetups.

Drupal 7 is going to be awesome but right now I'm more excited about Drupal 5 reaching its end of life. This feeling will fade as my excitement for Drupal 7 grows, but I'm having a lot of D5 fatigue these days.

I was on the the fense about going, as I am an out of towner. My buddy lives in long beach and just started using drupal, so it all worked out.
We will be there. I'm looking forward to learning about Solr and how the properly use presflow... So those could be topics of discussion tonight.
