Vancouver Drupaleers Summer Potluck BBQ and Hackfest

As per the discussion around a July meeting, let's have a summer potluck BBQ and hackfest.

We'll start things off at 3pm with computers and an afternoon general session. Come work out of the Raincity offices on the roof, adn we'll answer questions, work on testing and developing new modules, and discuss different projects we're working on.

At 6pm we'll have a potluck BBQ. Raincity will provide buns, condiments, cutlery and cups, please bring something for the BBQ or a salad or other items to share. This will be a BYOB.

After the BBQ, we can do more hacking, play some Wii, and in general have an enjoyable summer evening.

What I'm bringing and what I'm coding

I think I'm going to try and make a blue drink: a Pan-Drupal Gargle Blaster. Maybe a pasta salad or some marinated ribs with BBQ sauce, I haven't decided yet.

For the hackfest, I am going to run a Hostmaster installathon and walkthrough, and I'll probably work on some install profile stuff.

I've been eating lots of it this summer, don't think I have time to make it this week. It's more of a weekend project. Or at least, a work-from-home project.

I'd give that a try. Mostly we've been drinking "Suffering Bastards" (thank you Tiki Bar TV) this summer... Hostmaster stuff sounds very interesting. Either Thursday would work.

Thursday the 24th would be better for me.

I have something on this Thursday evening and would love to come. It might give everyone more time to think about what to prepare for the event too, food and hack-wise. But if everyone wants the 17th then that's no problem. I could pop in for a hot dog after 6:30pm :)
