UPDATE: Presentation confirmed.
Monday, Aug 11 (the week after LinuxExpo) is our regularly scheduled SF DUG meeting at PariSoMa.

Chris Bryant will talk about Patterns. I expect we'll have a LinuxExpo talk-back too.

We should be able to use the PariSoMa main space this time, so it should be more comfortable. :-)

I can bring some snacks again. Thanks for setting this up again. I think I got Sean Savage to come join us. I really like his PlaceSite idea, and was bummed to find out he wasn't there last month. I hope Chris is going to do his patterns talk!

Ha, I stared at your subject line for 10 minutes before figuring it out. ;-) (And I assume you suggested Sean because you know he works here, right? I can work on him too...)

Presentation confirmed! - essentially what we didn't get to last time:
"Chris Bryant, from Gravitek Labs. Chris will open a discussion about site configuration patterns and show a demonstration of the Patterns module, a proof of concept module for allowing automatable site configuration similar to install profiles but also able to be run on existing sites. It's goal is to be able to define and automate site configurations in an easy to read and manageable format in a modular fashion that allows combining different sets of functionality (for instance, Blog patterns, Wiki patterns, SEO patterns, Performance patterns, etc.)

If there is additional time left, he will show a preview Dreamfish.com, a new Drupal based collaboration and networking platform that makes extensive use of CCK, Views, Panels 2, Organic Groups, some new custom modules and some heavy theming."
