Ever visit LADrupal.org? It's the Los Angeles Drupal User Group's other home, but it needs some love and a refresh before our awesome DrupalCampLA in September.
LA Drupal has put the call out to community members to help do little parts to help make a big difference in whole for our local community. Our LA Drupal sites will be in sync and more inviting then ever.
Signup below (button) to join our online meeting are talk with group and site organizers - volunteer! We'll be talking over the official plans for the LA Drupal community site, but bring your own ideas too.
NOTE: You MUST signup (button) below to be notified what the link will be for the virtual meeting. THIS IS REQUIRED.
Goals/Agenda:
1. Review current site(s) and issues.
2. Clean up current site and update content.
3. Increase links between GDO/LA and LADrupal.org
4. Ideas for the site in 2009 - we'll write them down unless they're a must-have for 2008.

Event posted per CCharlton - not sure I can make it
Hey - I posted this on behalf of Chris Charlton. I'll be busy at LinuxWorld Expo - but will try to join the meeting if we have enough volunteers at the Booth.

I'm signed up
I'm signed up, but I'm curious WHY we require a signup, instead of just posting the meeting information here? Security/Privacy?
Security/Privacy - yes
Yes. Plus I was waiting to hear about an online sponsor to help with pick up the cost of the online meeting time since we'll be using software that's already working on Mac, Linux, and Windows - make sure you have the Flash Player 9 installed.

Hopefully you will post an archive of the meeting (easy to do with Flashmeeting, btw).

Flashmeeting servers usage
I'm not sure if a casual meeting is allowed since they list learning projects/training are the free accounts, but you have to post training, not meetings. I see Europeans can get free meetings.
Markus, what's the scoop on this? Do you have an account already?

I planned to blast an email with the meeting link two hours before the meeting's time to volunteers who clicked signup on this GDO event page. Nothing secret about it, and no the meeting won't be recorded but meeting notes and/or chat log will be posted.

ladrupal.org redesign
Whatever happened with the redesign for ladrupal.org that Helior did? I never heard any feedback on if we were going to implement the css changes he made.
I personally like what he did with the design. Are we going to implement this on ladrupal.org? It should be just dropping in a CSS file. Any feedback?
I like it too
Chris did some site work a few weeks ago in prep for the new theme and the upcoming camp. He indicated that the CSS and graphics should be coming soon.

Helior and I talked
I talked with Helior and we agreed that we'd want to make it simple for the site to be updated. It'll be coordinated real soon.
