The big plan is to hold small events at the same time in different locations like UP Diliman and Holy Angels University in Angeles, Pampanga while the main event is happening at University of Makati (UMAK) and letting them all participate via Live Video Streaming thru NBN TV (Ch. 4) Network c/o Edison Go Tan, one of our active members. Last night, NBN TV already gave their consent in making this setup happen. Internet Cafe Association of Imus (ICAII) would also be providing the internet connection and try to get some sponsors for the computers to be used for the event.
Different groups are planning also to conduct pre-event activities:
- Campus Tours by UnPLUG
- Intro to FOSS on September 5, 2008 (Friday) @ University of Makati (UMAK) with the audience of their 1,000 students plus faculty staff
In lieu with this, the organization would need your help and support to make this event happen. From 1:00-5:00 PM during the afternoon of SFD 2008 on Sept. 20 and the pre-event at University of Makati(UMAK) on Sept. 5. We need volunteer speakers for the following topics:
* Why use Free and Open Source Software?
* Blogging Basics: Quick Start to be Online with Open Source (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress)
* Software For NGOs (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress)
* PHP and MySQL development (Basic for students and Advanced for developers)
* Development Tools

Gone Gone Gone
Hi Cyion & DL,
Just saw the post and the attached document. I think the line-up and presentation strategies are perfect.
Pasensya na po kung MIA ako lately. I've been missing out on a lot of things since my 3-week hiatus.
Back to the subject, DL kakakausap ko lang kay Rick this Wednesday morning (Aug 28). I'm not quite sure if this is Rick's turf too but I assumed it is -- based on CPU's press release and e-mail sign-up documents.
I'll keep informed of the event's status.
For now, an SFD:TERMINATOR jelly-button for you two!
Congrats sa presentation.
