Okay... it's taken longer than I'd hoped, and I'm still not 100% on ALL the details on the site, but I'm ready to open this up for testing.
In order to prevent "too much" testing, I'm putting up a password to access the site, but rather than attempting to email everyone that has offered to help test, I'm just going to put that info here, at the minimum limiting the testing group to anyone that stumbles across this post...
The development/beta site can be found at http://dev.drupalcampnh.org, and the access login is demo/demo
This "first phase" of testing should be focused on the following items:
- Anonymous usage
Make sure to click around and test a bit as anonymous as well. Either before or after your registration and testing as an authenticated user. For anonymous, the most important will be browsing sessions & schedule, contact, basic about pages, etc.
- User Registration
Please test user registration AND then edit your profile to fill it out completely. There is an avatar AND a profile picture. The profile picture is used in various areas where a larger, better picture looks good. Please upload an avatar (can be your normal one) and a "good" (large scale) profile picture... This is like the ones you see on the featured speakers rotator on the homepage.
- Session Submission
Submit one (or multiple) sessions and fill out the data completely... also add yourself and additional speakers via the node reference field. Sessions also take an image field to give it a great appearance. Find some image if you can to use here.
- General site functionality
Click... Break... Report... Once I throw up some more submitted sessions as approved, and put them on the schedule, start adding things to your personal schedule, clicking around, commenting on sessions, etc.
Issue Notification/Resolution
In order to properly track issues (without using an atrium install or something like that) I've simply created a category on the contact form that is for Website Issues. Please submit issues via that form, and NOT in this thread as much as possible. This will allow me to keep track of them better, and mark them according to their status in my inbox.
There area few things that I know are still a bit wonky, the main one being the mobile version of the site... you should focus on normal access methods (tablets are fine). I also have to redo parts of the session/schedule views now that views dev version has fixed issues with taxonomy filters and exposed filters. So essentially some features/enhancements will continue to come over the next weeks and before the camp is official.
As users start to test/register/submit sessions, I will be following to the best of my ability, and approving sessions, placing them on the schedule, etc. in order to then further test those features.
PLEASE NOTE:
Now that this is in testing phase, the database located on this development site will become authoritative, so some things that are added during this testing phase will stay there when the site is moved to the live domain. Please note the following information on what will change/stay.
Your user profile will stay there IF it has an avatar uploaded. Any profiles created without an avatar (create, then edit your profile) will be removed before final launch.
ALL sessions WILL be removed at site launch. If you are planning to (and I hope you are!!) submit a real session for the camp, that will need to be submitted again after official site launch.
Now.... CHOP CHOP!!
Let's make this a great camp, and I look forward to any and ALL feedback on the site in its current state. There is still a LOT of time to touch up the details, make the site "perfect" and have one of the best DrupalCamp sites to date!
I will be personally emailing a few of you that have offered to help with content over the next few days. many of the default about pages are still empty or with improper text. My goal is to have the testing completed and the site up this weekend. This will include all of the REAL featured speakers with profiles up (including keynote) and all the about pages and the current (and a few more) news posts flushed out with some more descriptive content.

On it...
Seacoast DUG is testing now!
Feedback to follow
oh yeah....
I guess the obvious should be stated and point out that I don't currently have an "easy" link to get to the create session page...
so browse to http://dev.drupalcampnh.org/node/add after you are logged in as authenticated to test that out.
Somehow that was left out in my head when placing things, so I'll get that throw in tomorrow (a prominent link)

last chance pre-launch to test the site!!
The site has been tested over the week by a handful of community members, and the feedback has been great, and really only pointed out minor usability issues, and a few minor annoyances.
The site is no longer password protected at http://dev.drupalcampnh.org, and you can continue to test today/over the weekend. I'm still trying to hold out for the last two featured speakers to register and 3 of the featured speakers to flush out their profiles.
I plan to launch the site Sunday night quietly, and start linking/promoting on Monday.
My pre-launch steps are to remove any testing accounts (any without an avatar that I can't be 100% is for a real user) and to remove all sessions from the schedule, and remove the sessions.
I also have some more content to get at least a bit better pre-launch with either the correct text, or an appropriate message saying to "look for more info soon".
I will also be posting a couple additional news posts before then as well to get the site running.
More information to come soon, and thanks for testing, you've got a little time left pre-launch, and no matter what, there will still be minor issues to fix after launch as well, but so far nothing MAJOR seems to be hanging up site usage.
Also, I've done a bit more work on the mobile version, and it's at least passable for the time being. (this is the mobile version for any resolution less than 720px, so for mainly phone devices)
