Drupal Education
At the most recent DrupalCamp we discussed proceeding with a comprehensive educational track for the group. While many options were examined, the one suggestion that all participants were in agreement on was the need to evaluate which topics the members of the group wanted to learn about.
Please vote for the curriculum that best addresses your needs.
I'd choose more than one if I could

"D: All of the Above"
1) Drupal Development: Drupal.api, Module development, CSS and theming practices, SVN/CVS. (I want to learn more about what's under the hood and coding.)
2) Mechanics of Drupal: PHP, MySQL, Coding conventions, themes (I have experience in theming, but want to increase my knowledge. I also want to learn more about what's under the hood and coding.)
3) Advanced Drupal: Optomization, Security, Multisites and Advanced Theming. (I have a couple of clients where scaling, optimization and security are needs and want to increase my knowledge in these areas. In the short term, I have been working with outside experts in these areas, but want to be able to do more myself.)
4) Drupal for entrepreneurs and media professionals. Developing a Drupal site plan and project management issues. (I have experience here, but would love to hear what others are doing and learn more.)
Sorry - I meant to mention
Sorry - I meant to mention that this was my prioritized list. Given only one choice, I'd choose "Drupal Development" - which is how I voted in the poll.
However, of the five choices, four of them are of great interest!
Thanks for voting.
If there is an overwhelming interest in a particular area, it will help identify qualified instructors and get this started.
Thanks!
Thanks for taking the lead on getting this going. If there's anything I can do to help let me know!
The key word is *MOST*
Setting up an educational track is going to involve a significant amount of work. It will be a process, not an event. Please select one level so we can determine how to begin in a way that serves the most members. That could bring the other areas of study along more quickly.
It's optimization, sorry
D'oh, Rely too much on spellcheck
Can anyone can fix?
