DrupalCorn 2011 - Event Website
Who should attend?
We are encouraging experienced web developers who are looking to increase their knowledge on Drupal. We will be focusing on major concepts and best practices while acknowledging your existing skills. This is not for the newbie developer, this is a big meal we are offering.
Want to Volunteer?
We are looking for people who can help show the true strength of Drupal, it's community. You would be someone who already uses Drupal but you don't have to be an expert.
During talks, questions get very technical and having experienced Drupal developers on hand to help so we can keep things moving is essential. Signup to Volunteer

How'd it go? Plans for Drupalcamp Iowa 2012?
Hi friends,
Just curious how this went and whether you plan to have a similar event in 2012.
Thanks!

Awesome
Hi, greggles. Hofmockel was the primary mover and shaker behind this event.
We did a 45-minute on, 15-minute off schedule and planted volunteers from our users group throughout to circulate and help with problems. We also had lunch on-site and emphasized that lunch was for mixing with people and talking about current problems.
I think by any measure the day was a success. People were tuned in, and I know I learned a lot (primarily from Michael Bosworth's excellent Drupal JavaScript presentation). People were happy with the swag, food and drink, the free books, and the Acquia dev cloud voucher. One person approached me about how he could help out with Drupal so I got him on board and into the issue queues.
65 people signed up; about 50 showed up and about 40 stayed for the whole day.
No 2012 event is currently planned but hey, we're only a few weeks into 2012. Anything could happen.
Great news, thanks John! I'm

I had a great time and would love to see a 2012 event.
Hofmockel - I'm interested in helping organize and bring people from the Waterloo/Cedar Falls/Cedar Rapids/Iowa City areas. More my 'neck of the woods' since I'm not in the DSM/Ames area.
Perhaps we can look into opening up part of the day to user-submitted sessions like what some of the other camps do if we think it will grow?
