HI, I will try to stop by, but...
I was wondering about anyone who could sit down with me and go through my sites, to help teach me a few things. I am a self taught newbie who has built and maintained drupal sites, but i still have certain issues.
Particularly getting LM_paypal to automatically activate a user to the paid subscription.
I additionally need tutoring with other issues such as updates etc
in the event that I cannot come, is there anyone qualified to help me

This event is much more a social gathering, there is a monthly meetup, and a playday but this month we have a Drupal Camp happening. I would say come by and get to know the community, but don't expect to get "tutoring" at the bar.

Getting help
I suggest you start by attending Drupal Camp in NYC! it's only 20 bucks and their isn't and better community of developers who care about helping you get better educated with your particular short falls in programing.
Remember, Knowledge is power and their will be a lot of knowledgeable people at Drupal Camp NYC.
If you can't make it then seek out a local Drupal group and get some help!
