My organization, Energy Action Coalition is looking a skilled Drupal programer/admin to help me (our webmaster) with a complete site migration (site to be migrated: http://climatechallenge.org) from a dated content management system and custom databases. Project will include custom configuration of Drupal with custom content types, third party modules, custom template creation and some php scripting and/or module customization.
The project will utilize Organic Groups and custom content types to help organize our 360 local grassroots groups and 37 coalition partners.
Contractor will work primarily in-house at our downtown SF office and will work closely with me our 'Digital Organizer'. I'm relatively new to Drupal but have done a lot of php/mysql work and am excited to dig into Drupal for this project. The project delivery deadline is January 1st and will likely require 2-3 full-time weeks in December. Compensation will be at an hourly rate, $30-60 an hour depending on experience. For the right person this may evolve into ongoing work and future projects.
Energy Action Coalition is dedicated to opensource software and the opensource movement and any customization will ideally be meaningful contributions to the Drupal community that can be commited as patches to modules or core. This is a fun and exciting project and a great way to make some money before Christmas. Experience with administering and programing in Drupal a must. Knowledge and experience with php/mysql/html/css/javascript a must. Commitment and passion about the cause (stopping global warming) a huge plus.
