Mission:
We're planning Drupal Design Camp LA 2012. The event is scheduled for October 12, 13 & 14 at Droplabs in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
Much work has already been done but there's much left to do between now and October, 2012. We hope that anyone interested in joining forces will be part of the upcoming planning meetings and website sprints.
Anyone who's interested in being part of the organizing effort or is just interested in seeing how this conference is coming together is welcome to join the Drupal Design Camp LA group!
Purpose of this wiki
The planning wiki provides a high level view of our roadmap and ongoing progress. This page is editable, so please join the group and edit the wiki to help plan this event. Together we can put on another awesome camp, and hopefully attract even more people and presenters than last year.
Tasks
We have begun using a DDCLA project page on Drupal.org for both code and task management. See https://drupal.org/node/1705954 and https://drupal.org/project/issues/ddcla for more information.
Subscribe to email notifications of what's happening in the issue queue at https://drupal.org/project/issues/subscribe-mail/ddcla?destination=node%...
As we move much of of our focus will be on that project, this wiki page can and should be used for our roadmap and highlights such as high-level progress updates.

Hopefully they'll have a winning combination of a good location, nearby attractions and hotels, ample parking and available space for our conference and pre-conference events.
The next High Performance Drupal meetup is on Tuesday (one day after the site visit to AFI) and the agenda includes a DDCLA planning meeting at 6:30pm:

Good news, DrupalCampers. The DDCLA team has unanimously decided to go forward with io/LA. We're booking the venue for 3 days of awesome on October 12, 13 & 14.
With io/LA's focus on tech, its affinity with Droplabs as a coworking space and business accelerator, and its location in a vibrant corner of Hollywood with shops, restaurants and hotels, we feel this is a good fit for the event.
