Event type:
User group meeting

A number of use have been toiling away in an old thread, organizing a NH User Group Meeting. We are a point now were were are ready to "Bump" this discussion back up the NH page for further visibility etc.

So far we have a date, time and place (April 13, 6pm at the Concord Monitor)

Agenda is open at this point. I was thinking along the lines of...

  • Introductions : Who are you? What do you do? What do you want to get out of NHDUG (NH Drupal User Group) (15min)
  • Program : A presentation on a topic of mutual interest. I think a guy I work with/for is willing to present "What I learned at Drupal Con" if folks are interested in that. (30min)
  • Drupal Showcase: Show off a project you are working on. Talk about how you did it, challenges you faced etc. 3 projects @ 10min Each (30min)
  • Help I need somebody: Stumped by something on one of you projects? Can't figure out what CCK/Views will not do what you want it to? Client that will not pay on time? Bring your questions to this open session and tap into the wisdom of the crowd. (15-30min)
  • There's a Module for that: With 4400 modules out there its hard to stay on top of what is hot and what is not. Bring your list of "must try" modules, let us know why you think they are hot. (15-30min, Skip if "Help" goes long)
  • Wrapup: What is next? When do we meet again? What do we want to do differently? (15min)

I hope the "Event" Content Type allows comments, gotta assume it does, so sound off on the agenda if you think it should be different/adjusted.

Excited to get this kicked off!

So glad someone's picked up the ball...

Life's been crazy, and winter really threw things for a loop, so I'm glad somebody's taking charge and making it happen finally.

I'll send notices around and try and drum up some more folks to attend.

Sounds good!

Agenda Updates: Bringing Drupalcon to You!

mhoefer's picture

We have confirmation of our "Main" Program
* Neil Giarratana "What I Learned at Drupalcon" 30min

We have had one person volunteer for 1 of the 3 Showcases
* Chris Plika- Search Lucene API http://drupal.org/project/luceneapi (Chris presented this at Drupal Con)

Showcase 2 and 3 are open... Who has something they'd like to show off?

Looks like we are off to a good start. Ideally all attendees should have a groups.drupal.org acct so they can "register" for the event. If you are bringing a number of people with you please make sure you mention that in the comments so we know how many people are coming.

Directions to the Concord Monitor ...

Margogogo's picture

Hello :) Looking forward to meeting you all tonight! Here are some directions in case you have never been ...

Heading North on I-93, take Exit 16. At the stop sign at the top of the ramp, turn right. Staying in the left lane, go about 200 yards to another stop sign. You'll see a Mobile gas station across the street. At this stop sign turn left onto Rte. 132 North (Mountain Road). Then follow Rte. 132 North for about 3 miles - you will go past the Concord Golf Club on your right. Turn left onto Sewalls Falls Road. Travel 1/2 mile. You will pass under I-93 and you will immediately see the Concord Monitor building on the right. Turn onto Monitor Drive and take your first left into the parking lot.

Heading South on I-93, take Exit 17E. Follow Hoit Road about 1/2 mile to a stop sign. Turn right onto Rte 132 South (Mountain Road). Go 1 mile. Turn Right onto Sewalls Falls Road. Travel 1/2 mile. You will pass under I-93 and you will immediately see the Concord Monitor building on the right. Turn onto Monitor Drive and take your first left into the parking lot.

See you then!

~Margo
