We have scheduled our next meetup! June 6th at Infosys International in Plainview NY. Attached is a small flyer we put together for the event. If you work or are involved with a university or organization that allows you to post this flyer please help us out by spreading the word.
We would like to format the meetup a bit different this month. Learning from the format of the NYC group we would like to have small 5 min lighting rounds and a 20 minute deep dive on a topic. In addition, for individuals new to Drupal there will be some experienced Drupalists available for small personal discussions pertaining to your specific Drupal needs.
Do you have a topic you would like to talk about OR an idea you want to bounce off the group? Post it here and lets build the meetup schedule publicly. The goal is the provide the most value for our community and continue to grow!

Schedule and Directions. One Week Out!!
We are one week away from our next Long Island meetup. I wanted to outline a schedule and provide some additional details on the location. Please use the signup feature above so we can get a good idea on how many people will be attending (and how many pizza's we need!!)
Below is an outline of the schedule:
7:00-7:30pm - Introductions, arrivals, and networking
7:30-8:00pm - Hello Drupal: A broad overview of the Drupal system. Its strengths and weaknesses.
8:00-8:30pm - Pizza, Q/A, and discussion
8:30-9:00pm - Lightening Rounds on Drupal modules. (VBO, Better Exposed Filters, Display Suite)
I threw in Display Suite due to the fact that we have recently used it on project, its very powerful and worth a discussion for any themers that can't stand overriding templates and working in the template.php file... :)
I've also cut back the time to 9:00pm. The three hour time slot seemed a bit long but we will be hanging around for general discussions after the lightning rounds.
The location is 110 Terminal Dr Plainview, NY 11803. Its off of exit 46 on the LIE right off of Sunnyside Blvd. Take Terminal Dr. to the end, Infosys is located on the corner of Terminal and E. Ames Ct. Below is a link to the Google Maps location:
