Agenda

Our meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and full-length presentations.

As always, we'll have community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions, divine answers from the crowd and give brief, 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks.

After the meetup, we'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark at 8:30pm. We may go out for coffee or tea at Intelligentsia or over to Jake's or Lucky Baldwin's for something stronger.

About San Gabriel Valley Drupal

We've been having Drupal meetups in the San Gabriel Valley since June, 2010. In addition to scheduling monthly meetups, our organizers hold occasional trainings and workshops and get together for social gatherings.

Attending SGV Drupal events is one of the best ways to meet and talk with other Drupaleros and we encourage you to attend meetings and special events regularly. See our event schedule at http://groups.drupal.org/san-gabriel-valley for more.

Whether it's to find solutions to problems you've been having, sharing something you've learned or just meeting interesting like-minded people, the SGV Drupal events are an essential resource for Drupal professionals and hobbyists alike.

The clock is counting down to our next meetup. Are there any presentations that anyone would like like to give or see given?

I'll be following up from my presentation last month with a demonstration and take-apart of the WYSIWYG config for termsofuseless.com.

Thanks to everyone who came!

The turnout for this meetup was much lower than last month's, and we surmised that the reason was because this meetup wasn't promoted on Meetup.com/SGV-Drupal. To test our theory, we've already posted next month's meetup announcement and we'll see what the turnout will be next month.

Everything else went well, from the GoToMeeting broadcast to Il Fornaio's excellent venue and service. Speaking of the venue, we may be moving next month's meetup to a nearby office. Stay tuned here or on Twitter at http://twitter.com/SGVDrupal for news about that.

During the meetup, we talked about growing the group membership, covered upcoming events (including DrupalCamp LA and Drupal Design Camp LA) and collaborating with the SGVLUG user group on the sgvlug.org website which is migrating to Drupal.

We also taught the restaurant how to make the best mojitos ever (extra everything, light ice, no sugar). Later, a few of us went to Mi Piace for espresso and ice cream.
