Looking forward to attending again.
I'm looking forward to attending again, and having a chance to touch on my topic on 960gs (ninesixty theme in drupal) and the Drupalcon Paris event as a whole. I had an amazing time in Paris attending and speaking at my first Drupalcon.
Another couple of us from CommonPlaces were also in attendance (Michelle & Chris). I think the drive up for Chris is a bit much to get back down to the Boston area afterwards, but hopefully Michelle will share some of what she learned as well, and go over the session she & Chris presented on Staging Drupal, Manging your project in multiple environments. Many on twitter were talking about how great their session was, so a quick overview of that as well could really help out anyone trying to figure out how to start managing larger projects in version control and making sure your code is backed up and organized in a sensible manner.

Next Week? ! **%?
Really already? Time to RSVP to see what sort of group we are going to have this month.
I am only tentative... my Dad is in town from AZ and not sure I can ditch him for the night... i will post my plans later in the week.
Margo are we set for the Monitor Space again?
Agenda? Himerus with deeper dive on 960. Anything from anyone else? If Neil is in attendance I'm sure he would be willing to demo "Features".
Mike
Looking forward to tonight...
I was disappointed to miss the last meeting and looking forward to tonight (particularly the 960 preso). Happy to talk about Features tonight a bit though I don't have a formal presentation put together. (I have an hour before the meeting so who knows if I can whip something up quickly).
TONIGHT! NH Group Meeting Please RSVP by 1pm!
Hi All... Looks like we have about 6 confirmed for this evening. (I have to miss this month)
Please RSVP by 1pm if you plan on attending so we know how many folks to expect.

6:15- 960 Grid: Himerus
7:00- Features (Context/Spaces): Neil
7:45- General Chit Chat and Questions Set Date for next meeting

I can no longer make it
I can no longer make it tonight. Sorry for the late notice on canceling.

Not likely to make it.
Although I really don't want to miss out on any ninesixty presentation.
I'm using the "framework" on several projects now, only one of which is Drupal. It's the way to go for me, and any input from the guru is something I wouldn't want to miss.
I'll firm up my availability by 1pm.
I'll probably be there
I might get pulled away, but I should be able to get there. Looking forward to hearing about 960.
I'll be there!
Didn't think I would be, but just freed up. ...And with 50 minutes to spare before the 1pm deadline... ;-)
Looking forward to learning more about 960 and Features.
I hope to make it
There's a bug going around the house, so I have to see how the wife feels about being alone with the kids this evening. I've been looking forward to my first Drupal User Group, so I hope to see you there.
I'm a horrible drupaler
Guys & Gals, I'm so sorry I missed out tonight.
Made a quick stop home to let out the dog, sat down for 5 min and literally fell asleep on the couch. Was definitely not my intention. I guess I had a long weekend to blame it on, but I sincerely apologize as I was expected to spend a bit of time talking 960gs.
I'll have to make it next time around, and figure out something extra special to make it up!

Yes! I didn't miss it! :) I
Yes! I didn't miss it! :)
I look forward to whatever special sauce you add to awesome.
A huge thank you to Neil...
Thanks to Neil for a great presentation on Features...
We'll reschedule Jake's 960gs talk for the next meeting, I'll create a new thread for planning that.
Happy to do it...
Happy to do it...hope I didn't bore folks with features, features, features. Figured out the issue on the menu at the tail end of the preso. You need to assign the Features menu as Primary Links. Then throw a theme function on primary links into your template. Features will remove the inactive features menu items when primary links is themed. (Not sure why they only applied it to Primary Links).
For next time, I wouldn't mind doing a complete run through of Drush if it would be helpful. How to install, some of the major features, etc.
Agreed
Agreed -- thanks Neil -- it was terrific. I think we had a good mix, from those who did not have exposure to Features before, to some of us who did have some exposure but still wanted to learn more. There was something for everyone. I also thanked @himerus for not showing up so we had more time to spend on your presentation. :)
I mentioned this here but, in planning the next one, it would be great if it could be a different week from the Boston meetup. I'd like to get down to that one tonight but, with two little ones at home (one just 5 weeks old) I would be in the doghouse if I was gone two straight nights. :)
I would second that
I would second that recommendation (to avoid the Boston Meetup). My suggestion would be that we pick a standing date (e.g. 2nd Wednesday of the month kind of thing) and go with it. This is based on running the New England Adobe User Group and discovering that if people can remember the day of the month without thinking about it ("it's always the second Wednesday of the month"), they tend to show up more often. Plus, it's easier to remember when suggesting to others to come.
My other suggestion would be to consider running the meetings during the day (1-4pm kind of thing). When we started the NEAUG, we thought no one would show up during the day. What we found was that we gained significantly more professionals who just couldn't justify another night away from family.
Boston Meets first Tues of the Month/Drupal Design Camp Boston
Hi, Our Boston meetups will be the first Tues of every month.
We owe a great deal of gratitude to Ed Carlevale and the Scheduling Office at MIT for making the arrangements for such a great space. Also, Jeannie Finks of the Media Lab who booked the 2-day Drupal Design Camp Boston 2009 (D4D Boston) venue in the Stata Center.
As a heads up-Jeannie, Ed, and our team are planning for Drupal Design Camp Boston 2010 same time(ish) in June. We promise to make it after MIT Graduation weekend as we did last time to avoid major crowd and hotel space demand.
Volunteers and ideas are needed for every aspect of the camp. We also thank some of the folks from CommonPlaces for already stepping up and volunteering their help for D4D Boston 2010. http://boston.design4drupal.org/
Cheers, Susan

Standing date good, during the day bad
I personally have a day job that's not Drupal-related and couldn't justify taking half a day off. So if they were held during the working day ... I'd have to change jobs. ;-)
But a regular "Xth Xday evening of the month" would be welcome. 1st/3rd Wednesdays and all Thursdays are bad for me, but I could make anything else work.
Drupal Bootcamp training
Anybody know if there are local trainers or someone we could work with to get us up to speed with our Drupal site? We inherited a site created by a third party who is no longer in business..we love the potential, but the site is going nowhere because no one has the time to try to learn it on their own. Help! Hudson NH School District
Greetings.
I can share with you that we run the Hudson School District, and all of her school sites using Drupal. We've made custom modules, trained administration and staff, and we've even created modules to handle the Professional Development and Registration of incoming students. www.sau81.org.
So, give us a ring.

Try Lullabot Training too.
It would be best to find a trainer but in the meantime your staff could study learning DVDs see: Lullabot Store
