NYC Doc Sprint
Hi everyone. I think it would be a good idea for us to have a documentation sprint in NYC. How many others would be interested in participating and what do you think is the ideal location/date and time? Oleg (litwol) has said if not somewhere else, we could meet at our usual monthly meet-up location at Mansueto Ventures. add1sun from the Drupal doc team has said she will help flesh out a task list and make postings so that others from the doc team will be online to help answer questions etc..

I assume you mean the Paris Drupalcon? I am thinking after it to give some time for planning and coordination.
Useful for new-to-drupal folk?
Can't tell whether this is anything where someone who's new to drupal can help with much.
The drupal document roadmap (pdf) suggests that there may be some useful avenues , as does the document sprint tasks page.
[(update) Found a page that suggests some new-to-drupal documentation involvement paths - no mention of code sprints but may be helpful for some.]
Don't know whether there's anything up that shows current organization and progress of the overall documentation effort - imagine it may be findable somewhere.
Any thoughts how you're planning to organize this would be appreciated.

Newbies could certainly offer useful feedback on clarity, and an intro to how the community works is also a good thing.
