Hi there,
I live on the beautiful island of Ishigaki which is in the south of the prefecture of Okinawa. I'm currently building a site about the island. It's available in both Japanese and English. I started a few months ago and it's still a work in progress. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Yeah, Zen is the basis. My first experience of coding any CSS actually so it's still a bit rough around the edges. I'd like to integrate google maps api next. I want to have a page where you can select a location via a combo box and the area on the map will receive focus.
I'm thinking about getting a views slideshow imbedded in the front page to replace the larger image below the header. There's a nice module to achieve slideshows with views which works with JQuery which I'm going to try out over the next couple of weeks.
There's loads of extra content which I want to add too. I feel like I've hardly started, but I'm really enjoying it.
Anyway, get yourself to Ishigaki for a holiday. It's great!

I lived in Naha for three years before moving to UK and have visited Ishigaki and other Yae-yama islands a couple of times. Really loved it there.
I've been visiting Okinawa every time during our yearly visit to Japan so maybe we can have a meet-up in Okinawa next time I go back.
Ah, how I miss the weather, people and food there...

That's great. Lets have a meetup on Ishigaki island at some point (that would be great for me as I wouldn't have to go anywhere!). Perhaps a photo of Japan's Drupal group having a BBQ on a beautiful beach in Okinawa would make Drupal.orgs front page.
I'm from the UK. I grew up in Nottingham but I lived in Cambridge for 7 years before I moved to Japan last year.
I just can't get the Japanese pages on my site indexed by google by the way. I changed the lang setting to 'ja' and since then the only file which was indexed has been dropped. All of my English pages are indexed however.
Where do you live in the UK Dokumori?
