２００９年１０月末，東京でのオープンソースイベント？

以前情報探すのにちょっと時間が掛かりましたが、このイベントですね。Osonoi-sanが関係してる事だけは確かだとして、それ以外は名古屋も含めて、グループ内で事前に話し合いがあったのかとか不明な点がありますね。

今日，17時から18時過ぎぐらいまで待っていましたが，どなたもいらっしゃいませんでした。コミュニティとして「とくに話し合うことはない」と判断したということかな？

もし何か検討すべきことがあるとすれば，日時を設定して，再度ミーティングを開催しましょう。

もし何も話し合うことがないのならば，とりあえず来たい／来られる人が，来たい／来られる日時に会場に来て，何か問題や課題が持ち上がればその場その場で対処しましょう。

No one has joined in the chat room I mentioned above. Does this mean that we, as a community, agreed that "there is nothing to discuss about"?

If we still have something to discuss about and make decisions for, let's arrange the date and time for this meeting again.

If we really don't have anything to discuss about, then let those who want to / can come to the event come whenever they want / can. If an issue arise, let's address it at the site.

すみませんが17h00~18h00の間にircにいましたがその間はaiwataさんが１−２分しかいなかった。（仕事中だったのでぼくがあとで読むと思いました）もしaiwataさんがずっとircにいましたとしたらchannel splitで見えなくなちゃったのかな。

I was logged a bit before 17h00 up to about 19h~ and while checking the logs it showed you online only for about 1-2 minutes... Since I was at work I wasn't available to chat full-time, but I expected to read the discussion when I had a few minutes free. Maybe there was a channel split on the server and that might explain why you couldn't see some of the people, including me... (there was one a few days ago...)

I also wasn't able to access g.d.o after the update to shared accounts so I haven't kept up with the posts here for a while. I happened to see your meeting request just yesterday night...

Virtual meetings are hard to do I believe.

僕にはもちろん皆さんがどういうタイムテーブルで動いていらっしゃるか分かりません。金曜の夜になっちゃうと，週末で飲みにでかける人もいるのかなと思って，一般的な就業時間の終わりと勝手に想像して１７時に設定したんです。で，僕からまず１７時からと投げかけて，OSC での出展に関心がある皆さんからのフィードバックを待っていたんですよ。

Of course I didn't know when people are available for this meeting, and I was guessing that there are not a few people who go outside for drink at Friday night, that is why I set the meeting at 17:00 which is I believe usually thought as the end of work hours. And I was waiting for feedbacks from those who are interested in the participation in the OSC, after suggesting my thought first.

別にフォーラムで話し合うことに反対しているわけじゃないんですけど，フォーラムでの話し合いって時間ばかりかかって，なかなか結論に至りにくいと思います。なにしろあと一週間しかありませんし，それほど多くのことを話し合う必要もないと思ったので，さっさと話し合ってさっさと結論を出した方がよいと判断し，IRC でのミーティングを提案しました。まぁ，今日のミーティングは流れちゃったわけだし，何かまだ話し合う必要があれば，このスレッドで話し合うなり，別のミーティングをセットアップするなりすればいいんじゃないですか？

I am not against discussion here in the forum at all, but it is a little difficult to reach a conclusion in a discussion in a forum, after spending a lot of time, within a limited schedule. Because there is only about a week left before the OSC, and because I thought we have not many things to talk about, I suggested to use IRC to discuss quickly and reach an agreement / a conclusion. Well, after all today's meeting was canceled, so if we still have issues to discuss, we can either discuss them here in this thread or schedule another meeting.

I didn't want to bother those who come to #drupal-jp for topics other than this OSC participation, so I suggested to join a temporary chat room called #osct-drupal in my earlier comment in this thread. I was there since 17:00, I think that is why you thought I disappeared so quickly.

Antoine が言うように，たしかにオンライン・ミーティングはやりづらい面もあります。一方，僕は OSC 当日までにいくらかコミュニティとして話し合う必要を感じていました。せめて「何も話し合うことはないよね」っていう合意ぐらいはしなきゃいけないと思ったんです。だから話し合う手段を見つけなきゃいけませんでした。面と向かって話し合う機会は今のところ設定されていなかったので，仕方なく欠点を理解した上でオンライン・ミーティングを選択しただけです。

As you say, I think virtual meeting has some short comings. On the other hand, I was feeling we, as a community, have to discuss before the first day of the OSC. I was thinking, at least we had to agree that there is nothing to discuss. So, I had to find a way for a discussion. Because any opportunity for meeting in person was not set before the OSC, I chose the virtual meeting, while understanding its limitations.

ま，さておき，これからどうするか話し合いましょうよ。「何も準備はいらない」っていうんなら，それでもいいしさ。

Well, let's focus on what we will do. If we agree that "there is no need for preparation for the OSC," that is fine with me.

文章で読むと，僕が今回のキャンセルのせいでイライラしているように誤解する人もいるかもしれないけれど，僕は個人的には気にしていないので，どうぞ心配しないでね。僕はただ，今回の OSC への出展をコミュニティのために成功させたいだけですよ :-)

Reading this reply, you may think I am annoyed by the cancelation of today's meeting, but don't worry. I don't care about the cancelation. I just want to make this OSC participation successful for the sake of this community :-)

実は今回はMoblinで出てます。しかし、Drupalのとなりにブースを置くことで主催者からＯＫをもらいました。
出来る限りお手伝いします。
ちなみに先週はLinus TorvaldsをはじめとしたLinuxの世界のトップの開発者が９０人来てサミットを開催、その後その人たちを中心に日本をはじめアジアのエンジニアとのシンポジウムと忙しくこちらのサイトを見る暇がありませんでした。しかしＮＨＫもきたしなんとか成功したと思ってます。
この勢いでＯＳＣも盛り上げていきたいと思います。
