Integrating Open Atrium Intranet with Corporate Drupal Website

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi,

We're using Drupal for our corporate website, and we're thinking about using Open Atrium for our Intranet. I want to streamline our processes and avoid double entry as much as possible.

These are the use cases:

  1. Our corporate website has login / pass fields in which our partners or employees can login. If our partners or employees login, then they are routed to Open Atrium.

  2. We would like to create an calendar event from Open Atrium (intranet). We would like to have the option to publish this event seamlessly to the corporate website as well. This would be the same process from the website back to Open Atrium, hence data would flow bi-directionally.

Could someone share real life scenarios in which they accomplished this? I think Open Atrium has real potential as an intranet, however I need to know how to manage both the corporate website and the intranet.

Thanks,
Pete

Share user tables

Hi Pete,

I have some Drupal installations sharing the user related tables, one of then being Open Atrium, and i think that your first use case could be accomplished this way too. The "redirect after login" part you can do with "rules"(drupal.org/project/rules), assigning a role to everyone that should be redirected.

About calendar, depends on which way you are doing this calendar, but i think that exporting/importing ICal feeds will do the job.
