Please take a moment to take a look at my latest Drupal site and let me know what you think. (Its still in development so I havent turned on user registration as of yet)

I have plans on customizing/modifying the drupal profile system using the profile node modules. Before I embark on this, does anyone have experience doing this that they can share?

Also, does anyone have any experience or recommendations on which 3rd party message board system is the best?

Thanks

I saw your URL and thought, "Wow, a site about Mambo built in Drupal? How Meta!" and then I realized it was about the dance style.

Looks like a good one. I'd be interested in seeing a list of the modules you used. Looks like the vote API?

Maybe you can present at an upcoming meetup.

I'd be open to talking about the website at one of the upcoming meetups and answering questions then.

I'm curious to know how you setup the send to phone feature. And are the mambo locations just a cck type?

I'd also like to know about the send to phone feature.

I really like the way you've embedded the videos as one of the main features - a great way to give a dancer an accurate impression of what a place is like - and as a dancer (swing though, not salsa) the star ratings of ventilation etc. is excellent.

My suggestions would be for more whitespace, and more padding, and perhaps change the layout of the info box to the right of the video - clearer headings, slightly larger font.

I was yet another person to be slightly taken aback by doing a website about Mambo using Drupal. Geek first, dancer second. Wish someone would put together such a good site for the swing dancing scene.

I used the usernode module for registration, but it's not been ideal. We ask people who are registering for a lot of information, so have ended up with a huge registration form, which I've never had time to figure out how to improve. So I'd be interested in discussing the registration process if other people have experience of this. I've done lots of customisation of user profiles though - I'll post when the new version is live.
