Suggestions about planning, location, etc., for the Drupal NYC meetups

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I suggest that we try to arrange to have a regular meeting place, or to set up each meeting well enough in advance for things to work out smoothly, and so Adam doesn't have to run around each month just finding a place to meet.

I also suggest that we briefly plan the next meeting at the end of each meeting.

  • where we will meet
  • what topics to cover, based on peoples interests and expertise
  • who is willing to present, etc.

This should help us to have consistently useful, high quality meetups.

Any other suggestions?

so where is a reliable place to do this every month? some place big enough for at least 30 people, hopefully have a projector and some net access. anyone?

The NY PHP group hosts their events at IBM. I wonder if they would be willing to take us on?

mcaudy: Adam, do you want to have additional presentations at this same meetup, so that we should limit the theming session to one hour total
