This is an initiative for a new series of events DruBallNYC: Drupal ball games in NYC.
The first game will be Basketball. No time and place is set yet. need people's help to make this happen.
Hopefully, DruBall events will keep us healthy, and offer more opportunities for Drupalist to travel outside the home-office and connect with other Drupalists.
The date and time is set, and the location is Grand St. at Forsyth St. (a park in Chinatown). Here is the street view http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=&sll=40.7194...

sweet!
Extreme Frisbee is also a lot of fun and easy to setup. Not really a ball game, but a ball to play! (see what i did there?) ;P

I used to play at a court off
I used to play at a court off Delancey St. on Attorney St. at the foot of the W'Burg bridge. It never seemed to be crowded. There is also a fairly busy court near me in Sunnyside, Queens. Lots of families out here. Mostly kids playing after school. Thins out a little bit later at night. During the day is pretty chill too. I don't have a ball anymore.
NerdBall
I vote the next game be kickball.

Sunday afternoon isnt a good
Sunday afternoon isnt a good time for me. I hope there are more druball events soon.
Skyredwang, Sorry I can't
Skyredwang,
Sorry I can't make it today. I will come to the next meetup. And I just bought DCamp8 tix.
Lets do this again
The games were great and the location was easy to get to. Considering the number of people who showed up basketball was a good choice. We should definitely do this again. Good job on the organizing skyred.

Great time on Sunday
Hey everyone. I just wanted to say I had a lot of fun meeting you all and playing ball on Sunday. Great idea. Despite us all nearly passing out from exhaustion, I thought it was fun all around. Thanks everyone for organizing. Looking forward to the next one!
