This is an initiative for a new series of events DruBallNYC: Drupal ball games in NYC.
Hopefully, DruBall events will keep us healthy, and offer more opportunities for Drupalist to travel outside the home-office and connect with other Drupalists.

But you might to pick something a little more casual like Softball, Kickball, Ultimate, etc. You might have a larger turnout.

We're planning a mini-golf outing (with blue balls of course) much later in the season. Fun for the whole familia!

It's not funny, it's weird that you find it appropriate to take a sports event post as an opportunity to comment about blue balls. It's like something a horny teenager would say. I highly doubt the rest of the "mature" guys in this group want to hear about your balls either. If that's me loosing my sense of humor, so be it. LOL.

This is not about someone else lacking of a sense of humor, it's about you not thinking before you type.
I understand where you might find this confusing, after all up until recently comments like yours were considered ok here.
Immature and inappropriate humor should no longer be tolerated by the NYC Drupal Community. For too long we have sat back and allowed a few members of the group to turn our community from one of professional dialogue into a disrespectful boy's club.
Given the recent debates and crisis in our community you really should have known better.
Enough is enough.
If your comments in this group are immature and would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting, don't act shocked when people object and ask you to apologize and learn (or even ask for you to be banned).

Basketball, soccer and more
I personally love basketball as a sport best, but soccer seems very timely. Trying to think of other fun team things: paintball/lasertag, bowling, pool or ping pong tourney. The latter is a bit individual (as is mini golf) but with brackets could be fun.

If you propose a different game, please take a leading role here, by offering more details like: location (court), who brings the ball, etc.
If we don't have much details for the "different" game by June.23rd, then our fall-back plan will be basketball on the same court at same time.

anyone interested in dodgeball? i have the equipment and a nice spot to play. me and my friends just got into it. the more the merrier.. very fun..the spot is also in chinatown. Seward Park.. i found a nice little spot in the back that no one ever uses, perfect for dodgeball.
