Theming workshops?
I've heard rumors of a theming workshop to happen in the New Year, and I wasn't really into or aware of Drupal enough to have caught the recent BAD Camp.
So I was wondering if there were any intentions by the folks over at Raincity or Bryght (well they're the same thing now), or anywhere else for that matter, to host a theming workshop sometime in the New Year. If so, even preliminary details would be good at this stage, even a promise would suffice :)

Theming Presentation January
You're correct, Ariane. Mark Y. from Rain City is leading a presentation on theming for our January meeting.
Colin, I'm not at the central hub of the Vancouver Drupal grapevine but FWIW I haven't heard of a theming workshop in Vancouver. I've spoken to someone who was thinking of carrying the banner for a Vancouver Drupal Camp but presumably this is still in the contemplation stage since there's no announcement. There is also the upcoming OpenWeb conference that will undoubtedly have some Drupal presentations.
If someone volunteers a space with a projector and wireless I'll volunteer to lead a Theming workshop.
January Theming Talk
Yep,
as Dale said, I'll be leading a Drupal theming talk on the last or second to last Thursday of the month (the exact one is being pinned down right now).
Two more designer/themers from Raincity, Hubert Florin and Steve Krueger, will be co-presenting. We'll try and tackle theming from design to theme. Time is a factor so we may have to split it into two sessions, this month's talk being the intro.
Time permitting, I'm open to participating in a separate, longer workshop. Maybe we can make a day of it and get several different perspectives on the subject. How about February for that?

the meetings are free for attendees and usually happen in the evening around 7pm at the Raincity Studios office in Gastown. I'm sure there will be an "official" announcement about the meetup soon.

They say that to learn you need to teach. I'm no ninja (despite the Tshirt) but I would love to work with someone to put together a theming workshop. Of course if I organize it - it would be out in White Rock so I'm talking about putting together some content.
