Setting Up a Slide Show

I have been fumbling between CCK, Views, Slide Show, Image Cache and Lightbox trying to find the right combination to give a good lightbox show. If someone has some experience with this combination of module I would appreciate them sharing at the meeting.

Turns out it's a combination of a mysql query cache bug plus Drupal 7's use of innodb tables by defualt.
