Intro to Panels module
Blake Lucchesi will be doing a presentation on the Panels module and show how it can help work with Views and allow us to really extend a view "page" to aggregate and render multiple areas of content into one "page" or view. Imagine a site like BBC.co.uk for an example of this.

I'll be there ...
I'll be there, but I haven't had time to put a presentation together. :( If we get the Views and Panels stuff, I think that would awesome. I was planning on doing one about using the API module in a local dev environment but I got really swamped last week, and haven't even thought about it.
I'll be there, hoping for presentations, but if not ...
The topics of views and panels would be pretty useful to those of us still learning.... but I'm sure whatever we do will be interesting.

Yes, we have presenters
Yes, we have someone to do Views (I'm not sure who yet but I can do it on a whim), and someone to do Panels (Blake).

Yay, Presenters!
I'm planning on making the trek down from Burbank, possibly with some more WBR crew. Looking forward to the presentations.
Also, we're looking for devs, so if you're looking for work, bring us a resume and/or be ready to send some info and some site examples. :-)

Here is a sneak peak at my agenda for tonights panels presentation, any comments questions would be great!
I soooo don´t want to infect y´all
As much as I´d LOVE to attend my 1st meeting (was planning on it, actually), I think I´d better stay home since I´m getting over a minor flu bug & would hate to infect everyone around me.
I did want to know if you folks record your meetings so that eager newcomers won´t miss out on such informative talks when we can´t make it.
ps. I had some ideas for the ¨LA Drupal Business Model¨ thread started by ´gusaus´ but keep getting ´mail delivery failure´ errors. Even if I´m new to the group, can I add my comments/ideas to: http://groups.drupal.org/node/8664 ?
add away
add all the comments you want. All of these topics are for open discussion.
Too bad we'll miss you at tonights meeting, but hopefully we'll see you next month.
there soon!
Hey guys, just running a littlle late. Me and a colleague from Burbank are on our way!
same here
me too.
got any broadcast capabilities onsite? :)
I can setup a flashmeeting if someone has a webcam and the bandwidth to transmit.

Cool turn out
I'd like to thank everyone who attended our Feb. LA Drupal meeting tonight. MikeyLikesIt did an impromptu session on Views, there were some good questions, and it looks like Views module will be a ongoing topic for our members.
Blake did the second session of the night, Panels module, and of course (like before) we had a special secret announcement/demo to finish up the night. It's fun to be an LA Drupal member.
