Planned so far:
- February 28: Introduction to jQuery
- March 21 or 28: Theming Part 2
If you would like to present please leave a note here or contact me through the site contact form.
If you have an idea for a presentation you'd like to see, please leave a note here.
- Presentations can be as short as 15 minutes or as long as an hour (but please be riveting! :-). Typical length is 30-40 minutes plus questions.
- Subject can be highly technical or highly non-technical, as long as you let the audience know what they're in for when we post the announcement.
- Subject has to be of interest to the Drupal community and related to Drupal (but doesn't have to be specifically on Drupal).
We also like to do 1 or 2 mini-case studies per meeting. This is a quick 10 minute run down of a website or a website feature. The idea is sharing interesting Drupal implementation details of your website. For example, how you designed the site to do what it does, a quick overview of how you integrated something (map, video, twitter), or how you made the site users happy. Contact me ahead of time, leave a note in the event posting, or answer the call during the meeting if we don't have anyone pre-booked.

*install profiles! (more specifically starting with perhaps bryght's and how to customize it)
*and for march i would note that you might want to allot a little time for a rundown from drupalcon!
(ps. noticed the dates for march are off, should be the 20th/27th)
February Confirmed as jQuery
Hey everyone. Things are crazy for me time wise right now with Northern Voice and a project I'm on.
I wanted to let everyone know that we have JavaScript the Smart Way - Introduction to jQuery by Raincity Studios developer and Drupal module contributor Katherine Bailey confirmed for Feb 28. I hope to have the announcement done up in the next day or so. Standard meeting arrangements, 6:30pm, Raincity Studios office.
There will be a brief meeting at 6pm for anyone interested in helping with DrupalCamp Vancouver. See this discussion for thoughts to date: http://groups.drupal.org/node/8657
Moved
Things get bumped down the page so quickly!
I've moved this discussion to a new page: Presentation Planning and linked to it from the group description at the top of the page. Should make the page easier to find when you want to suggest something and/or have a presentation you want to give.
You're dieing to give a presentation, right? Or suggest one?
