I wrote a review of Drupal installation and how easy it's become, complete with screenshots (and a screencast later). Best for convincing people to switch to Drupal! Posted this in my Drupal blog

Good review. I think Drupal 6 is the meanest drupal release (it should be) and this can result in an explosion in the number of peopel and sites using the Drupal platform. Drupal will soon rule the world!

Beautiful drupal 6

I evaluated drupal 6 last night for today's training of a few associations that are developing their web portals. The installation is indeed very easy already. (We should be translating this version instead of 5.x as DL suggested).

However, we will still be using 5.7 for the training. Important modules are still not functional. Tinymce and FCKeditor after some code tweaking is yet to work on my drupal 6 installation. I alse installed the head cvs version of cck. We have to wait another month before it become really exciting for organizations that do not know any web programming but would like to try drupal. CPU has convinced organizations to use drupal because of the modules functioning properly.

Enjoying drupal 6 (80% :-) )

Porting to Drupal

I just installed Drupal 6.0 last night and the installation was so easy and went smoothly. I agree with Rick that there are some pertinent contributed modules that have yet to be ported completely (CCK and Views) to Drupal 6.0 so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll happen soon. I'm currently doing a test-site and importing my posts from my blog - looking forward to moving it to a live site & replace my current Drupal 5.7. Yey! Drupal 6 looks really promising.

Cryptonomikon, bookmarked your site - your review was great - short & sweet :)
