We decided to make Friday's meetups in the afternoon, so in April we should meet the 11th at 14h. But February is not over yet, March is waiting for us with DrupalCon in Boston, so we're going to meet right after that, Saturday March 8th from 14h until 17h. Everyone is welcome, of course :)
Next, we have to pick a location. We suggested alternating between Bande-Passante on Fridays and an île sans fil café on Saturdays. Any suggestions? Ananya offered her place but I don't have the details. Hopefully, she'll post here. But we have a few weeks to settle on a place, so let's find a cool spot :)

J'aime bien l'idée d'avoir au moins une rencontre durant les heures "ouvrables" et l'autre en dehors. Ceci devrait convenir à deux publics n'ayant pas les mêmes contraintes. Merci pour l'organisation!

I am a Drupal freelancer trying to network with other Drupal people in montreal. I want to come to the next meetup. How does it work? Do you all just get together to help each other with problems and share expertise?

We meet for all kinds of reasons... Helping each other, sharing experiences, brainstorming ideas, showing recent works, discussing the going ons of Drupal, or just for meeting and having a drink with people who "talk" Drupal. Pick yours! ;)

BTW, hellolindsay, ususally we get together and demo stuff to eachother and chat about what
s hot and whats not in the Drupalsphere. This means that it is sometimes possible to get some help even it they are not come-to-get-free-consulting-sessions. The idea is for this to be fun... not just more work.Same for me...

I was just logging in to check the exact place and date, but there doesn't seem to be any WIFI place chosen. Est-ce que la rencontre aura toujours lieu?
Looks like things screwed up...
... I was just coming on-line to say that I'd be able to make it for a 5-7... but would only show up with other actually confirmed... then noticed that the session was intended for 14:00... and it is exactly 14:00 now (and I'm at home)... so... ummm... total screw up.
Anyway, I'm back from my parental leave and feel somewhat refreshed/rejuvinated, so I intend to play a bigger role in getting these things organised. I suspect that with a little effort we can make these popular events... ones that actually reflect the widespread use of Drupal in Montreal and throughout Quebec.
