Although it's a long way's off, I think we should hold DrupalCon in the Bay Area next year.

I think we could pull it off. Probably not the moscone center yet. I would like to do it in a hotel space, like a sci-fi con. If things keep doubling we would need room for 2000 people by next year, but that is doable.
Ps. the next con will be in 6 months in Europe, then back in North America in a year.

You should contact Jacob Redding (http://groups.drupal.org/user/707) and ask what is needed in a proposal. Previous DrupalCons have been organized in ~6 months, the next Spring North America one needs more time. There should be at least one full-time person, probably paid, leading the organizing.
