Sorry about that! I quickly created the event at the last minute and didn't enable Signups, and then discovered that my Blackberry's browser doesn't make it easy to enable them via mobile device ... maybe something for our new group to tackle. :)

Please feel free to signup for this meetup going forward. It will enable automatic notifications 4 days before the event, since I know 1 day notice is never enough for me.

One other last minute thought that occurred to me which might be enjoyable... consider your most recent favorite or interesting Drupal module. It's always cool to hear what tidbits from the ginormous community people find and this is the ideal forum to share them!

I've wanted a better location for myself than Concord, but only noticed the date today. Looking forward to seeing how well it went and eager to know what the agenda was. Sorry I missed, but can I assume this will be on the first Monday of each month?

First Seacoast NH Meetup a success!

Thanks so much to those who attended the first Seacoast NH Drupal Meetup last night in Portsmouth! Although it was very casual I think we laid the foundation for some very interesting meetings going forward that folks will be clambouring to get into.
I will be setting up the next meeting for Monday, November 1st, again at the Portsmouth public library, so look for that event thread on this group page.

@jjmackow (Kev Flanagan) - I'm really sorry about posting the event so late! It was a crazy week and the discussion in the thread had a lot of posts, but that's no excuse for neglecting the right way to advertise an event. I'll have the 11/01/2010 event up by the end of the week so there's plenty of advanced notice, and I hope that folks will use the Signup feature (assuming I enable it correctly) so we can get a feel for the number of seats we'll fill.

Also, if anyone is interested in being on an email distribution for this meetup then please send me an email at kevin@kevinbaringer.com with "Seacoast NH Drupal Meetup email" in the subject.

Too close to Boston meetup?

It seems that having it one day before the Boston meetup is a bit close... (It's bad enough that occasionally the NH Meetup and Boston fall on the same week...)

Can I suggest moving it towards the end of the month (Yes, with Nov and Dec, that can often be a pain... but perhaps startng in Jan?)
