Drupal 7 Module Development workshop, presented by Zivtech in NoVA
Please note: Workshop tickets are no longer available for purchase.
Our 'Drupal 7 Module Development' workshop is a crash-course in solving problems by building custom modules.
Our workshop focuses on how to approach a problem that existing modules just do not solve. Follow along in your individual development sandbox as we show you how to put Drupal’s APIs to work. Attendees will leave our workshop with working knowledge of Drupal’s menu, form, and hook systems, as well as the database layer.
At the end of the class students will also receive a copy of the finished module which includes documented examples of other advanced topics, including update scripts, programmatic content type creation, and Views integration for our custom database tables.
Workshop cost: $250

3. Move DB to Box 2 and reconfigure box one to point to the new DB box
4. Clone box 1 to box 3 so we can load balance the two of them.
5. Discuss scaling of DB server.
Creating Better Drupal Meetups
Thank god Acquia got new offices. Oh wait, I meant Zivtech.
I say thank god because the rumor is they have spaces where they can hold multiple trainings during Drupal Meetups (whilst serving beverages and pizza of course). I couldn't go to the party because I had to get home and go to sleep so that I could rock the Philadelphia Triathlon the next morning (yeah, i'm bragging). So, I've been slightly dis-satisfied with the last few meetups, and it's my own fault. It's my fault because I haven't volunteered to present things. That will now cease.
