advanced poll
Show results for anon users?
Hey all, this is really a two part question... (specifically, for the Advanced Poll Block) does anyone know of a way to:
1) Show the results (instead of voting options) for Anonymous (not-logged-in) users?
2) Change the "you are not eligible" $message to a "[login] or [register] to vote" message?
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
TE

This thread from D.o discussed the amalgamation of Decisions and Advanced Poll seems relevant to this group's discussion here.

Majority Judgement?
Hi,
I was wondering if any of you have experience of including majority judgement voting into your websites?
Could it be considered for a future feature for advanced poll?
Also, a few of us are looking to launch a new version of the World Parliament Experiment on a Drupal platform. If anyone's interested in getting involved, please get in touch or join us here.
There's going to be lots of advanced polling/voting features required!
Cheers
Advanced Poll on Groups.Drupal.org?
Looks like there's been a request to use Advanced Poll on Groups.Drupal.Org:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/7534
If it happens it would be great visibility for the module and a huge population for generating bug reports and feature requests.
Advanced Poll Module vs. Poll Module
Recently, there was a Poll put up in our local group to select which day of the week to have the local meet-ups. Since the Poll Module will only allow for a single radio button answer ... this brings up the question ... why doesn't Groups.Drupal.org us the Advanced Poll Module?
In my specific example, the use of Approval Voting would have been more practical for our vote than just pick one.
Is there some reason Adv Poll Module is not used? ... or is it as simple as no one has asked?
BTW, count this as me asking for the Advanced Poll Module!
Thanks.
Input on upcoming 1.0 release
Hey guys, Anders and I are planning to do an official 1.0 release of Advanced Poll pretty soon. This will be a high quality version of Advanced Poll that has all major features working and is relatively bug free. It will also serve as the base for our Drupal 6 port of advpoll, which we will start working on after the first D6 Release Candidate, so it needs to be solid.
If there is anything in particular you want to argue for, or unreported bugs you've found, now is the time to speak up.
Goals for the next month
Here's what I would like to be accomplished over the next month:
- Fix all bugs currently in the issue queue and implement all feature requests.
- Better display/theming of configuration options in the poll display (e.g. duration, starting date, eligibility, etc.).
- Views integration.
- Default options per content-type.
- jQuery magic for ranking votes.
- Email capability for electoral list - option to send to all who are eligible, those who have voted, or those who haven't voted.
- Actual releases for 5.0 and 4.7 branches.
It's also time for some progress evaluation from last month, when I had the following priorities for my work on Advanced Poll:
Advanced Poll November Update
It's been five weeks since the last update and a ton of progress has been made on Advanced Poll:
- Ported to Drupal 5.0 - all new development is occuring on the 5.0 branch
- Dynamically add or remove poll choices
- PostgreSQL support (additional testing needed)
- Start dates for polls
- Submit votes using Ajax
- List polls at /polls
- Cache voting results
- Add/remove individual users from Electoral List and a button to clear it entirely
- Allow votes to be reset
- Numerous bug fixes
Demo available at http://advpoll.ck37.com and additional discussion can go in the Advanced Poll working group. Please submit all bug reports and feature requests to the issue queue.
