Thanks indeed to pbarnett and WillHall, I've been able to stumble (stumbling being my own lack of competance rather than any issue with Rules) to this:

When [new comment added]
_____Where [comment author is not] [list of roles]

Then
_____[create email to] [list of specific email addresses]
__________Containing [date stamp when comment added] [user name of comment author] and [comment body]

I have a list of nodes, compiled through a View.

Each node contains a field with an email address.

I would like to send an email to the email address contained within each node, including an attachment.

Part of the email message would be pre-configured, with tokens to customize items such as the attachment, and the attachment is not contained within the node. The end result is the same message to each node.

I have set up a Rule Set with Mime Mail which allows for Attachments but seems to allow for only pre-configured emails.

Any ideas? Thank you.

I have a multi-step form that is a job application.

On one step the applicant enters information for professional references, and on another, character references. They may add multiple references (field groups) on each page. The field groups for both types of reference include an email field, and a hidden "email sent" field.

At the end of the form, when the applicant submits the form, I wish to send customized emails to each of the references, and populate the "email sent" field with "yes".

Google lets you put any number of periods in your gmail address, and it ignores all of them when receiving mail for you.

Try it; it's fun!

Spammers have taken advantage of this, unfortunately, to spam more and more easily.

If you see a Gmail address with about as many periods as letters, it is probably a spammer. If that address turns up twice, differing only by the number or placement of periods, it is pretty certainly a spammer.

Something is seriously weird with my email notifications from g.d.o. A few weeks ago I changed my email address on my d.o. profile, and now I'm getting notifications randomly sent to the old AND new address!

Since I started using my Pre (not 100% gmail implementation) over my Android phone (awesome gmail implementation), I am having to rely on gmail filters a bit more. I'm overwhelmed by my g.d.o subscriptions, but I can't find a good way to channel messages into folders and pull them out of my inbox (auto-archive).

On Aegir 0.4 Alpha 5, I received "Welcome Emails" from webmaster@domain.com but not with Alpha 8. Is this a know issue? Is there a work around? - Thanks!

Can anyone help this Newbie out and tell me how to create a list of USERS EMAIL ADDRESSES in a D5 site.

Google groups, with Google docs, provides really good collaboration tools.

The last version of OG I used didn't allow you to reply to email -- you HAVE to go to the web page to reply. Is there a set of Drupal modules that provides the functions of Google groups?

And what about Google docs? It's so easy to share documents and spread sheets.
