Estoy preparando un proyecto de una web para un show televisivo. Los videos estarán en FLV, estarán onsite y será el personal del show quien subirá los FLVs, por ello no podré utilizar el cck emfield (que pena). Revise un poco la documentación y vi un par de módulos interesantes entre los cuales:

Porfavor si alguno tiene otro video u otro tipo de recurso, documentacion, link, etc. y lo quiera subir simplemente haga click en Subir un recurso y listo asi lo podemos ver todos.

For those who don't know, LA Drupal has been posting our meeting videos over at http://drupal-la.blip.tv and you can totally check out almost the entire meetings you missed or want to see over again. Tonight we are proud to announce Scott Nelson's four part recording from our May 2008 meeting. Scott covered the Services module, and the AMFPHP module for hooking up Ajax, XML-RPC, JSON, and Flex/Flash to Drupal.

Insightshare - a participatory video organisation.
We are creating a global portal to bring together people using participatory video. This mans community, collaborative video, concerned with the process as well as the product at the end.

We are linked to filmforge, transmission and have large partners such as the Global Diversity Foundation and sections of the UN, as well as many small communities and organisations

The main focus of the portal will be the videos and the creators and owners of the videos - the communities.

Microsoft announced this week that they were going to stop purposefully breaking Internet Explorer's activex controls, rolling back the "click to activate" activex message that has been wasting the time and annoying the hell out of web developers for the past two years. According to the MSDN blog that announced the change this change won't require any actions on the part of developers:

It’s important (and cool) to note that this change will require no modifications to existing webpages, and no new actions for developers creating new pages. We are simply reverting to the old behavior. Once Internet Explorer is updated, all pages that currently require “click to activate” will no longer require the control to be activated. They’ll just work.

But, what about all of those people (myself included) who had to use all sorts of hacks and javascript embedding methods to work around this idiotic IE "quirk"? Also, are there any modules that include hacks to remove this error? If so they may need to get updated to reflect the change.

Anyway, at the very least future development that includes video and other embedded media should become a bit less of a pain.
