Drupal Event Organizers Survey (for DrupalCon Portland Presentation)

In preparation for the Making Drupal Meetups and Events Rock presentation at DrupalCon Portland, we (the presentation panel members) have put together a super-short six question survey for Drupal event and meetup organizers.

Please take 2 minutes (probably less!) to complete our survey so that we can help make Drupal events and meetups around the world rock even more: http://goo.gl/haF3O

Thanks in advance,
-mike

Quick Survey: Group membership on your Organic groups-based site

As part of preliminary work on the Commons information architecture for Drupal 7, I'm interested in how many groups people join on an Organic groups site.

Surely everyone is like myself and is a member of twenty or more groups, right? Apparently not!

For example, if we look at group membership on Groups.Drupal.org, we see that nearly 74 percent of GDO users are in only 1-2 groups! However, in aggregate, ~26% of people are in more than two groups.

Number of groups joined Percentage of people
1-2 groups 73.50%
3-4 groups 11.95%

VERY SHORT SURVEY - Success with Drupal Web Development Vendors

As more organizations are adopting Drupal as their platform of choice for complex web projects the number of development firms offering services is increasing rapidly. How often do relationships with Drupal web development vendors succeed? How often do they fail? Why?

The purpose of this short anonymous survey is to gain insight into the dynamics between Drupal website development firms and their clients. Basically, as a community, we want to take a quick temperature check as to how things are going. If you complete this survey, we’ll share the aggregate results with you.

Custom Webform extension

I'm looking for someone to write an extension to the Webform module, unless someone knows a way to do this with existing modules....

Company X uses the webform module as a repeating monthly survey, to collect a large number of data points. It wants to keep historical trends, so it doesn't want users to edit prior submissions, but users report that it takes too long to complete a new form and that most of the data points don't change from month to month. Therefore, we'd like the following functionality:

Requesting your input for new project

Can you spare 20 minutes to take a survey about a Drupal development project undertaken by researchers at New Jersey Institute of Technology and Massey University in New Zealand? This NSF funded project -- OKES: An Open Knowledge Exchange System to Promote Meta-Disciplinary Collaboration Based on Socio-Technical Principles (NSF SOCS/IT Research Award Number 0968445) -- seeks input from Drupal developers as to how Drupal can be used to support traditional conference and unconference collaboration.

We have a project that needs to be delivered in 3 months. We are in the early stages of scoping this phase of the project. We need to meet with the client next week and provide an estimate and delivery date.

Phase 1 of the project -Drupal portal creation - is already completed. The second phase of this project generally involves manipulating survey data. Client has a legacy system that is labor intensive and clunky. Our objective is to replace the legacy tool with a Drupal-based tool. I will update this job posting with more information as we clarify the scope.
