Greetings from Ireland

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I realise I have never formally introduced myself and yet joined this group about six months ago. Great work you are doing here and having TransitioDrupal.org linked is fantastic. At my first drupal camp in Ireland, I was struck with the similarity in the folk, sharing a real sense of community.

I co-moderate a 600 member strong ning site which we want to migrate to a drupal site, its our all island network site for Transition Ireland and Northern Ireland http://transitiontownsireland.ning.com/.

I have built and look after some small drupal sites, for our last gathering, www.transition2010gathering.info which had a steep learning curve for me, and a European learning partnership site, www.transition2resilience.org some of us are involved with.

I'm fairly new to drupal, and only beginning to learn some HTML, CSS, PHP etc so not going to be developing, but I can help with formulating and testing the requirements and make some contributions around how our users will be able to access and develop their sites.

I'm making some simple videos at the moment demonstrating end user methods as I'm constantly reminded that many of our end users are not that IT savvy and really need help to get their skills up to scratch, so they can enjoy the fruits of our labours.

I'll start visiting and participating in http://www.transitiondrupal.org/ more often now.

Warm regards to all of you.
