I'm having trouble with excessive delays/timeouts after trying to search for a user using the latest beta :(

I'm not sure how you found this thread, it's supposedly "private" (not my decision!) ... anyway ...

I think it's unlikely that what you're describing is due to changes in the latest version. But then, everything is possible, especially with software :) Can I suggest you try downgrading to see if the problem goes away. If you are able to confirm that the delays happen with 2.2 beta and not 2.1, please log an issue at http://drupal.org/project/issues/groupadmin .
