How to remove posts that don't belong in group?

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Is there a way that we could allow Group organizers to remove posts that don't belong in a group?

This post was recently posted to groups.drupal.org/nyc - http://groups.drupal.org/node/107114
It was a general support request that belonged more in the forums or js group. As a group organizer I could edit it, but not unpublish, delete or remove from the NYC group. I could potentially move it to another group that I was already a member of, but I wasn't a member of a suitable alternative group. The only way I could move it to an appropriate group would be to find that group, join it, edit the original post, edit it, change the audience to that group, then un-join that group again.

In the end another organizer who had more permissions on GDO moved it to the javascript group.

in general I support, but not in this case

In general I support the idea of letting admins remove a post from their group, but I think it has to be done really considerately to the end user. This guy is mostly confused which isn't suprising because your group home page doesn't explain which kinds of things can and can't be posted. We totally have questions like that in the Denver group pretty often and just answer them. For many users it's intimidating posting to a broader support channel and they need to get help locally. To each their own, IMO.

I'd first like to see your homepage become more clear about what is on-topic before removing stuff like that.

On the general request: we just need a feature to let people remove posts from their group. No such code exists now. Until then, you can ask to have posts removed here or in #drupal-groups.

Thanks

Thanks greggles, we'll work on updating the homepage to make the group guidelines clearer.

I accidentally posted twice in my group. I'm surprised I can't delete a post!
