[Update: I fixed the ISL link...] Thanks to Jeff (and Omar, Bob and Amy) from ISL for hosting this last Monday's Drupal User's Group!
We had a great demo of Jeff (SprSquish)'s User Relationships module - in Drupal 6, even! (With requisite live demo code barf "Oops, gotta fix that"! :-) ).
Jeff gave us a tour of a couple of the Drupal projects ISL is working on, and we got the inside scoop on Import Manager module and users-as-nodes (or not) direction for Drupal 7 from Neil. I shot in random opinions and questions, and Eric took it all in.
I agree with several previous commenters that we want to get (more) speakers (more in advance) at these meetings - so keep an eye out for that discussion and/ or an email from us. Everyone was definitely interested in a tips, tricks and, "heck, what's all in there?" Drupal theming presentation.
Thanks again to the small but engaged crowd. We'll keep going and keep growing.

Need help migrating an existing community to Drupal
Wondering if the SF Usergroup could recommend a person or organization who can assist in converting an existing site to the Drupal platform. I've seen the list or organisztions, but need someone near our office and who this user group would recommend.
Any advice?

It depends - some orgs focus on nonprofit and activist websites; others might only take on large projects (of any sort). If you've gt a minimal budget, you're probably going to need to look at less well-known shops to get more out of your development dollar.
If you could mention what the community site is, if you're "nonprofit-y" or not, and if you've got a budget and organization behind this or if it's a small personal project you want help with - all of these will make a difference. :-)
