For those of you who are agnostic about open source CMS or who sometimes find yourself needing a Joomla resource, you might be interested to know that a new PDX Joomla! user group has started. They have had one meeting and their next meeting is this month. Sadly, of all the days in the month they picked the exact same day of the month as the Drupal User group for their meetings. Poor form, but aside from that it now means that the big 4 open source CMS (Drupal, Wordpress, Plone and Joomla!) now all have PDX user groups.Read more
Also höchste Zeit, den lokalen (d.h. Read more
Read more
I'm interested in forming a Baltimore Drupal User Group to meet regularly in Baltimore. We have the perfect space for meetups that can hold 80 people comfortably and has a commercial kitchen, bar, plenty of bathrooms and even a club room for over flow or socializing.
I'd like to gauge interest and get some feedback from the group? So...
- Would you be interested?
- Would you be willing to help plan?
- How often should a group meet? Monthly? Bi-monthly? Quarterly?
- Any suggestions for presentations and presenters?
- Any suggestions for day of the week and times?
New user here of Content Profile, so my apologies if this is an obvious question (I don't see how I would do it off hand).
I have user groups for Alumni and Current Students. I would like each to have a slightly different profile content type.
Right now I only see a way in content creation to turn On/Off Content Profiles and not a way to specify, "this content type should only apply to use group Alumni"
Thanks a bunch. Fantastic module, can't wait to dig deeper.Read more
How are things? Everyone still loving the #1 open source CMS?
I am writing everyone to announce the CDMUG summer vacation will be over shortly. I apologize for the gap in events from month to month, but I wouldn't feel too bad. I spoke with many other organizers in countries from all over the world at Drupalcon Paris. They are lucky enough to get more than 15 people to meet every few months. This proves that Chicago is one of the largest Drupal communities in the world. Great work everyone, it is because of you that we have this wonderful group.Read more
This was mentioned at the meetup, but I wanted to post it here as well. I received a message from Clint Savage at the Utah Open Source Foundation, one the people who run the Utah Open Source Conference. They've given me a promo code for the Utah Open Source Conference 2009 to pass on to everyone. It's good for 50% off the Full Access Pass to the 2009 conference, making it only $35 from the normal registration price of $70.Read more
