Archiving Multiple Streams

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm in the process of planning a move of wmse.org from its current scraped together custom PHP implementation that a local design firm did to one based on Drupal. I'm new to Drupal, but the more I look at it, the more I like it, and the Station module pretty much seals the deal for us. One thing I'm trying to get my head around is whether the Archive module will suit us or not. I've got a couple questions:

One issue is we are currently streaming and archiving two streams - a 128k MP3 stream and a 48k AACPlus stream, and we are considering others. Can I get the Archive module to support multiple formats?

Additionally (and this may be better as a support request - I'm really new here and to the Drupal community as well), we currently use a custom ripping solution which I'd like to try and get to work with the Archive module. We're not opposed to moving to StreamRipper, but the current solution has been running without a flaw for a few years now and has some advantages we like. Not being familiar with the integration points that the module uses with StreamRipper, am I looking at a lot of work to get this working? I'm assuming I'm going to have to get my hands dirty in some code and am just curious how much I'd be biting off to take it on.

archive only does one stream

the big limitation of the current archive module in the 2.x branch is that it only works with a single schedule so one drupal installation can only archive one stream... but it sounds like you're just doing multiple bitrates... not sure what the best suggestion would be.
