I've asked Reed (HiredGuns) to add me as an organizer for this group. I'm proposing this because I know Reed is a busy guy, and I have the time and ability to help him with organizing functions. I think we're both new to this, so we're not exactly sure how to go about it. I think Reed will need to contact an admin to make a request.

Name change request
Great. Can you also change the name of the group to say "Vancouver Island - Nanaimo". Or maybe "the Island - Nanaimo area". It is a little confusing with all the Vancouver Island groups, maybe the Victoria one will do the same, Victoria is kind of an Island from the Island itself.

Group Name
I think we settled on calling ourselves the Nanaimo Drupal Users Group (DUG) to maintain a consistency with the Victoria DUG. We're definitely dropping the "Vancouver Island" business. The original idea was to encourage people to see us as a regional group extending beyond Nanaimo's limits, which we wish to be. When Reed (HiredGuns) originally named the group, I don't think he was aware there was already another group (2 in fact) with the same or very similar names to this. It was an honest error but a good intention.
Done and done.
Accretor, you should now have admin privileges, and I have changed the group name to reflect our conversations.
