Third Meetup - April 14, 2011
Time to consider your schedules, as the second thursday of the month is next week. Anyone have any discussion topics they would like to throw down or presentations they would like to give? For those who have not met yet, we are meeting at the Nanaimo Curling Club at 7pm. We meet in the boardroom if a projection screen is useful, and then naturally step into the lounge for a beer once the pretty pictures are done.

Second Meetup - March 10, 2011
Hi Everyone,
Well, we had a very successful and interesting first meeting last Thursday. We talked about our projects, our skills and Drupal goodness like drush and features. There were more developers than themers, and one part time Islander. The Nanaimo Curling Club's boardroom was more than our small group needed for a meet and greet so we relaxed in the lounge with a brew.

Please propose possible venues for our meetings. In a perfect world, I think our criteria would be sufficient physical space for growth, Wi-Fi access, and a large screen we can use for presentations. We may have to consider options that provide only two of three and then look for our own solutions for the third. I should probably add that we want something free of charge. I definitely don't think we want to try to pick up money from folks in the group to pay for meetings.

As you are all getting organized for the first meet up I wanted to remember about the name change request to MID/NORTH ISLAND or even Nanaimo.
Us crew in Victoria use the Victoria group (http://groups.drupal.org/victoria) mostly, but now there are THREE Vancouver Island Groups.
This one -- http://groups.drupal.org/node/250 -- is the oldest and used for all of VANCOUVER ISLAND and think it should stay.
