Learn about Drupal and meet local Drupal enthusiasts. We meet from 6 pm until 7:30 pm, then reserve the last half-hour for proper socializing, snacking, and further discussion at a local pub. Last month we went to the Southlake Grill (near REI) which as a block further than Patty Coynes, but I think we all enjoyed it more, so we will plan on that.

Coworking will be a block away at Moka Coffee around 3:30pm.

Agenda

  • Brief One Breath introductions
  • DrupalCon Session Proposals -- what did you submit?
  • Lightning talks
  • problem areas - we will solicit 3 stubborn problems people need help with, and split into groups based on interests to help with those problems.

If you want to add items to the agenda, please leave a comment.

Seems to me...

Like we should have a Release Candidate party!

Would someone like to do a lightning talk about D7? Maybe run a quick install or show off new features? Maybe we could have a discussion about who is already using D7, and what people think about when they might make the transition?

I would be excited to participate in and see any of the topics above.

Shall we set aside a few minutes to plan a D7 release party in January?

panels (or pain-els as I like to call them)

Love 'em or hate 'em panels are really powerful.
I have been messing around with them and would be happy to do a lightening talk on what (small) success I have had.

Break out session proposal and another agenda item

RockSoup's picture

I have 2 things:

  1. I would like to propose we embrace the breakout/problem solving sessions we have been doing with our final half hour, but approach them a little differently. I propose that rather than soliciting problems at the DUG and polling for candidate problems that we do that work in this thread before DUG so that we can break up and start right away. So, if you have something you would like to have a breakout group help you with you would post it as a comment here before the group and then we could see if there are capable/interested people and if there are we can set that as one of the groups. I think this will help us be a bit more prepared and use our time better.

  2. I would like to spend 5 minutes talking about a new barnraising idea that came up in IRC recently that sounds cool.

Thanks!
