Guys,
We're an online media startup in Madison and we're thinking about using Drupal for our CMS on our social networking site. We're all new to Drupal here and are wondering if anyone can get together for an introduction to it.

Go for Drupal
I have made a site with Drupal and it is a good program. The essentials are there and it is good. I am not a programmer and it would help you to have some help from programmers but you can do it following the information on Drupal.
Best of luck,
Bruce
ps I look forward to your site
pps hope you will make a sub site for Wisconsin Initiatives
vocalo.org
Yes, I love the drupal. Check out Chicago based http://www.vocalo.org for very sweet drupal social network implementation. Simple and elegant.
Madison Drupal Group
On May 13th there is supposed to be a Madison Drupal Group meeting. I'm not sure of the location or time but I will post them when i find out.
This would be the best way to meet a bunch of Drupal people first hand.

Madison Drupal Group
That sounds great.
Depending on the number of people, my company, Brazen Careerist, could host. We're at 222 W Washington.
What do you think?
I believe Blake has all
I believe Blake has all ready found a location but I could be wrong. I'm sure he will reply soon with more information.

Welcome!
We've got a local Drupal User Group (between 8 - 20 folks per meeting) going in the last few months.
I'll be posting the next meeting announcement (for the meeting on the 13th) soon.
I hope to see you there.
Looking forward to meeting
I look forward to hearing about it. We're just outside of Madison and are in the process of redesigning our website using Drupal. It'll be good to learn from other local developers.
