Just want to checkout how's everybody cope up with Drupal. it's a fast changing development but we are here in malaysia, where is our stand? How many of us can be considered a 'competent' drupal developer ? Bringing drupal to the next level? making drupal more acceptable in malaysia environment?
It's really tough when eveybody is trying to do thing on their own. .. let's at least get together. if I get a good response here, maybe I would consider for another meet up soon.

Greetings
Salam and Hi,
Just registered to the group, despite surfing here quiet often! bummer!
Just to let you guys know, I'm struggling to find solution to the "White screen of Death" thingy! My current website is running on joomla/SMF. And I've been toying with Drupal since the beginning of the year. Love everything about it! Very flexible!
But ALAS, I keep bumping into the WSOD! Obviously it is the memory issue (settings in PHP.INI etc etc). Tried to get my web hosting (exabytes) provider to increase the memory limit but they don't allow it! Looking for options for other Drupal hosting services which are available and WSOD friendly!
Any advice?

welcome
Welcome to Drupal ....
How do you know it's the obviously it is the memory issue?
Do you actually check what's the memory currently being used? used devel module for that.
Exabytes give 24m for standard shared. should be more than enough for Drupal standard. Unless u install many more modules ...
secondly, it could be cause by other errors .... or modules conflict. heeheeee ... i face these why trying my own modules....
anything can happen man !
Try this Enable error reporting. put this in index.php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors', TRUE);
ini_set('display_startup_errors', TRUE);
at least u know exactly what going on....
BTW, once of my site I used servage.net . They give higher memory limit. Ok lahhh

najibx, I did enable the
najibx,
I did enable the error reporting, and it mentioned something like "..memory exhausted..", couldn't recall exactly, since I've deleted the site.. hehe.
Maybe one of the problem comes with the CCK module, but unfortunately that is exactly the module i needed. Exabytes don't want to increase the memory to 32Mb.
Considering to host at siteground.com , but the Sales Chat person keep telling me not to worry, they give support 24/7 etc etc. :-P
Will try the devel module to monitor the memory usage, tnx for the idea..

salam n good day everybody,
thanx 2 all 4 da replies, will take ur advices n update 2 u guyz asap, as for CK Ng, nope i didn't enable all my modules, the thing is that I didn't start my drupal in my PC by using the default database, I start my database by importing the databse I took from my office's PC...mybe I can share little bit the installation process I've did 2 u guyz, first of all I installed XAMP by using the default setting, then I import the database using phpMyadmin n do some configuration in my setting.php file from my directory(C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal-6.2-dev\sites\default)...drupal-6.2-dev is the folder that I've copied from my office's PC to my own PC..when I start XAMP (apache n mysql), everything seems fine but the moment I launch localhost/drupal-6.2-dev in my webbrowser, there is where the 'nightmare' starts:(...
Using a -dev version do
Using a -dev version do expect tons of issues.
Unless you are working on drupal core, use drupal 5 or 6 official only.
