Need help to identify cause of slow response on openpublish

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I am hosted with Lunarpages and have been for many years
Recently I have put up a test site for a site that I am developing and I am experiencing very slow response times. In some cases they are in excess of a minute. The other site, which is a lix of PHP and HTML has a response time of less than seconds. They are both on the same server.

The problem is therefore appears to be with Drupal and Openpublish and their relationship to the hosting service. I tried asking for help but do not think that I managed to get the support person to look at the Drupal site, she was only concerned with the main site and the traceroute stats.
I have set the caches on and removed devel.
If anyone has a little time perhaps they could swing by and have a look and let me know what they think.
The openpublish address is http://www.french-holidays.net/calijournal with the other site being just www.french-holidays.net
Thank sfor any help that is forth coming

What's the memory that you have available for the site in php?
OP takes up a huge amount of memory and it's better to put it on a vps or dedicated server.

I have put it at 64M as 48M

I browsed your site. To me, I would say, its not fast, but not very slow either. It shows the typical behavior: takes a little time to load and shows the content in a flash. I get nearly similar behavior from my OP sites (I have two). I am from a 5mbps connection. However, to compare, you can try my site at www.stattler.com

Are you using any sort of cacheing other than default Drupal cacheing? I am using Cacherouter with APC under apache2. As I run several Drupal sites, I have about 256MB reserved for APC.

I liked your site as I have used R in the past and found it excellent.
I have had a look at cacherouter but could not get it to work, even after applying a recommended patch.
Got errors similar to those in http://drupal.org/node/634918 but that was on installation.

Moved to another host

I have moved the site to O2switch and it runs as I hoped it would.
Unfortunately I have had to disable update status module
new site is calijournal.info
