People all over the world will be celebrating the release of Drupal 7. In honor of Webchick and all that is awesome, we in Houston must join in!
With the Southwest Drupal Summit approaching fast, I am afraid most of us have been a bit preoccupied, but we should not let that stop us from having an awesome time on the 7th. :)
With this in mind, I would love to hear some suggestions for a place to meetup. The Geek Gathering at Coffee Groundz is on the 7th, so one option is to go join in and spread the good word of the Drupal (and while we're at it tell everyone why they should join us at the upcoming SW Drupal Summit) with the Technology Bytes crew. We could also hold our own more intimate drinkup elsewhere.
Go ahead and signup if you'd like to join in the celebration, and we'll update this event as details firm up. Please also let me know if you'd like to pitch in and help organize!

A few others and I are planning to attend the Geek Gathering at Coffee Groundz in midtown on Friday night, and hope to see you all there. I think joining the other geeks will be a great way to celebrate Drupal 7, and we'll also have the opportunity to fill their ears about how awesome Drupal is.
Drupalistas are Geeks Too!
I think it'd be GREAT for us to show up at the Geek Gathering. I'm a regular, so I'll be there a little after 7pm. Things usually jump off around then anyway.
And I know at least one other Drupal guy will be there. Plus, I've got MAMP and Quickstart 0.8 on my laptop, so I'm willing to share my limited knowledge.
