Scheduling Monthly Meetups

Hey everyone,

Thanks to all those who came to our Drupal 7 release party. We had some fun and got to know each other a bit better. There's some possibilities in the air for working together, collaborating, and seeing the Drupal Ecosystem improve in our area.

How does the Drupal ecosystem improve? Its when we help each other and do community service on top of doing our day to day business affairs. Its when I know that helping you and helping you helps me. If we act this way, instead of hording, accumulating, and being fearful/oppositional, then we can all benefit.

Is there Drupal Scarcity here? I'd say no. There are millions of businesses all over the world, and many facets of potential clients in S. Oregon. We haven't needed to figure this out until now, but its probably a good idea for us to keep in the back of our mind what our potential "specialties" are. Each one of us is a valuable member of our community and specifically our Drupal community.

With this in mind, I'd like to ask for feedback about when you would all like to meet regularly. Since I am organizing, I'd also like to ask for someone who would be the #2 on this, who would commit to running a meeting in my absence. I am asked to go places and do things periodically, so we need a structure that will allow us to keep meeting even if one or some of us is busy.

Regularity is what will keep the momentum going. The new members who want to learn Drupal need us to keep this going, and it will only benefit us to help them learn. That's hard to realize sometimes, but its definitely true.
